Games are streamed from your PS5 to the 8-inch Full HD display, with sharp 1080p visuals at up to 60fps. Familiar DualSense features are built into the controls too, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers in supported games, so it feels much closer to playing on your console than using a phone and controller.
The Portal is primarily a remote player, not a standalone handheld console. For Remote Play you will need a compatible PS5, PlayStation account and reliable broadband Wi-Fi. PS Plus Premium members can also cloud-stream a selection of supported PS5 games, subject to Sony’s service requirements.
