What type of shaver is it?
General opinion is that there are 2 main types of shavers, the rotary shaver and in the case of this Panasonic ES-SL41, a foil shaver. This foil shaver is a 3 blade wet and dry shaver. This simply means it has 3 foils and can be used safely for wet or dry shaves. This particular electric rechargeable Panasonic shaver has a flexible head that is designed to move with the contours of your face that’s supposed to provide a closer more comfortable shave.
What’s good about it?
Foil shavers give an excellent shave, often the result not being hugely different from using a razor and shaving gel. The big plus point with the ES-SL41 is that it has 3 foil blades which give a better cut compared to other 2 blade shavers, these foils are also rounded so they have a far better skin coverage, which is especially helpful for the tricky areas. The foils can also be replaced and the shaver easily cleaned. The battery is also good, providing up to 21 minutes of shaving time on a full charge.
Are there any drawbacks?
Unlike rotary shavers you can only really go in one direct with the ES-SL41 rather than in a circular motion.
Should you trade up for the Panasonic ES-SL41?
The tripled arced head is a big leg up on other foil shavers and personal grooming tools and certainly worth upgrading to.
