The Not So Good Bits:
The WorkStation Z230 will take up a fair bit of space, and by that we mean quite a lot so don’t buy it if you have limited space for it or you haven’t measured up before hand. Don’t expect built-in WiFi, this pc was originally designed as a powerful workstation for business use so WiFi was never in the initial thinking. However, there is a spare PCI slot to add a wireless card or a spare USB slot.
The Design:
It’s quite clear HP put loads of thought in to the design. Ports are well placed and plentiful both front and rear. The inside of the pc is accessed by 1 panel, which comes off by a simple catch. There is a load of room inside this PC for a large number of different upgrade combinations.
Suitability:
We would say the HP Z230 is perfect for going in to a business or industrial environment that is looking for a high spec and high potential PC. It would even suit as a server machine.
