Yes these are older spec PC's and refurbished at that however I am blown away by the computing power that I have received for such a modest outlay. these are epic machines that chew through anything - way faster than a high spec laptop now, I would suggest you would have to pay a premium price for a gaming machine to best the performance of these work stations. It took about an hour to get everything updated and set up but it just sings along - not silently but quiet enough and it has easily coped with everything we have thrown at it. It was bought as a get us through the lockdown times stop gap but I suspect this will be a server on outcome network for many years to come. great work getting these back out Morgan there is plenty of power and life left in these epic machines!
HP Z400,
Was very impressed with the machine on arrival. Added a WiFi card - there's plenty of room for expansion. Machine runs very well. It's powerful and does all I need. Now I need to get used to the difference between Win7 and Win 10 Pro ! Excellent service. Thanks John
Why did I ever look elsewhere?,
For many years I was blissfully happy with an HP tower I bought from Morgan. Then I corrupted the hard drive. The local repair guys never got close to sorting it out and I naively bought a new desktop from them as a replacement. It took a while before I realised that it had a superslow i3 processor and only 4Gb RAM. It was painful to use and often would not talk to my scanner. So I got this big beauty from Morgan for 100 less than I paid for the new i3. I added a wifi card and it all took less than an hour to set up (although downloading Office took a while). Software all good and suddenly my scanner flies at speeds I did not think possible. Service from Morgan was excellent, as it has been every time I have bought from them.
HP Z400,
quite a heavy PC but worked as soon as unpacked I couldn't find the key for win 10 as it was on a sticker on top of the computer in front of me. Used laplink PCMover Pro to move all data from old PC took a while but worked really well.
